Do you like the clothing? Service? Hardware? Lawn & Garden Equipment? Large Appliances? Auto Repair? Jewelry? Small Appliances? Shoes? Kid’s stuff? ETC…. OR What don’t you like about Sears?

After finding and reading the complaints I ran across on other web sites, I had second thoughts encompassing ordering from ApplianceZone.com. Fortunately, common sense kicked in and I remembered that for each spoken pissed-off customer, there are hundreds of unspoken satisfied ones. I am glad to say that my dealings with ApplianceZone proved that I was right – I got satisfactory service, specific parts at half the price of Sears and very quick delivery.

A couple of things to pay attention to before sending in your order. 1) Verify that you entered the exact part numbers. Check several of the other websites that sell the parts you need and make sure they all have the same part information for your model machine. 2) In advance of paying for expressed shipping, contact with ApplianceZone to attest that they have all the parts for your appliance on hand.

    Mary K asked:

I am trying to figure out what kind of finished goods manufacturing is still done in the US? Are there any areas that are actually increasing their business?

My reason for the questions is that I work for a small injection molder (plastics) and we just lost a big customer to a mexican molder. Cheap labor, nafta, no environmental regs, etc….

Most of our customers are either hurting (like automotive industry) or appliance makers, which are also slowing down.

We offer some secondary services such as assembly, painting, printing, etc.

Just looking for help to try to find areas to target to here in the US since it seems like lots of our business is moving out of the country. Any suggestions?

Trying to keep this positive, any suggestions of areas to target or groups to join or places to look?

I know there are a lot of smart ppl that answer here on yahoo, hoping someone can give me a spark.
To answer the question about what we do…
We have from 20 to 440 T machines, so mainly smaller precision parts.

    Some things we mold are:

**appliance knobs, buttons handles, bezels (painted hi- low or numbers)
    **plastic water and polution filters
    **electronics cases, buttons,
**automotive cases, covers, knobs, buttons, light tubes, reflectors, )
mostly under hood, part of guages in dash or inside the door frame parts)
** medical cases (we are not clean room or white room though, so not too much medical)
Consumer goods- mop assemblies, small buckets, scrapers, etx.
We do some pretty complicated precise parts and do them well. Not optics, but fairly difficult.

Is this going to make my light bill go up? (I pay my own utilities.)

I live in an apartment with one HVAC heat pump unit. I was out of town the one day they did the maintenance for the year. I’m almost sure it hasn’t had maintenance for three years.

And what do the service guys do specifically?

I know my landlady doesn’t do this yet again until at least next year and I don’t have any money to pay someone.

My service company does heat pump service Short Pump.

At the office where I work there is a technician guy (who works at another company) who always brings along with him a non-commercial liquid cleaner whenever he comes to our office whenever he’s called to service our computers or printers or servers. (It’s also is effective on refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, etc.). The liquid cleaner really takes of the dirt, grime on surfaces. It smells like dishwashing liquid with some alcohol; is somewhat oily (but not greasy) and gives surfaces a glossy/waxy (somewhat slippery) shine. It really works well but is gentle on the hands. Please post your contributions here or at my email at JardonRiley@yahoo.com

    Hoping for your helpful reply.

We just got an apartment old appliances which need services. Before I contact the service companies, can someone help me with how much these items are worth. Sometimes, it is better to buy than to service.

The instructions on the appliance say to turn a knob to “pilot” (other positions are “on” and “off”). Then, I push down on a (1) button and also push down and click the (2) igniter.

The blue flame is present as long as I am depressing the (1) button. The instructions say to keep the button down for 60 seconds then let go and the flame should stay on. I have repeated these steps with 60 sec. or more and the flame goes out after I let go of the (1) button.

I called the gas company. My gas is apparently delivered as normal, no late bill or cancellation. They do not service appliances according to their customer service.

My next step is to call a 3rd party technician. I’m sure it will cost a bundle just for the visit.

QUESTION: Is there anything I can troubleshoot on my own?

I suspect corroded or interrupted line, that maybe I should keep the (1) button down for 120 seconds instead of 60, or there’s another line somewhere around the appliance that’s either interrupted or needs opening (though I don’t know of any reason for damage or altering in the past two years).
